I've just started my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. For those of you who don't know, one of the elements is to learn a skill over a period of 12 months. So I thought this was a great opportunity to learn to cook new things and do what I love at the same time. My first week had me cooking a delicious breakfast wrap, which in my opinion is the best way of feeding my comfort food needs whilst keeping calories low and ensuring I eat enough protein. The way this was done is was by replacing normal sausages with Heck chicken sausages, replacing a normal strip of bacon with a medallion cut of bacon and finally cooking all the meat and eggs in fry light. I included a little bit of grated cheddar for taste and to glue it all together and finished it off on my sandwich toaster. I finished my wrap with some Kewpie Japanese mayo (which makes anything taste good!) and some sriracha sauce for a kick of spice. Delicious!
