Food tour of Havana 🇨🇺

What a surprise, a new location another food tour! We came via Madrid. Starting to like this family tradition!

I was lucky enough to be in Havana, Cuba, where I had pretty low expectations of the food as I was told Cuba wasn’t known for its food. This was completely disproven.

Some of the best dishes we had whilst in Havana were the meat and the especially the shredded beef. It was very soft and salty and paired well with the mild in flavour rice and beans. Rice is a staple for Cubans and is served with every meal.

Something I also learnt in the Cuban cuisine is how they have a typical breakfast, it’s always with coffee and is seen as an insult if someone is round at your house and you aren’t given a cup of coffee. But what is most intriguing is that they dip they buttered toast in which perfectly melts the butter, seems odd but you have to try it.
